Uc Serefeli Mosque: Most of the visitors come to Edirne with just one thought in mind - to see the famous Selimiye Mosque, built by Mimar Sinan and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. However, there is another splendid example of Ottoman architecture in the city, namely: Üç Şerefeli Mosque. The name of this building means 'the Mosque with Three Balconies'.
Old Mosque: Though not as prominent on Edirne's skyline as the Selimiye and Üç Şerefeli Mosques, the Eski (Old) Mosque is an important landmark in the city and has a large and loyal local congregation. Built between 1403 and 1414, it is the oldest of the city's imperial mosques and features a square, fortress-like form and an arcaded portico topped with a series of small domes.
Archeology Museum: Before seeing, I expected the museum of Edirne, an old and historical city, to be bigger and rich. But the museum city of Edirne, just behind the Selimiye Mosque, Fatih Sultan Mehmet was born in the lower street of the house tasting and sight seeing a museum.
